Plain-language summaries of how Scholar handles student data and account terms. Questions? Email support@thescholarapp.com.
Privacy
Scholar collects only the information needed to personalize academic practice: account details, assessment responses, and progress data. We do not sell student data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Students and parents can request an export or deletion of their account data at any time by contacting support@thescholarapp.com.
Terms of Service
Scholar is provided as a study and academic-progress tool. Scores shown in the product — including Scholar Index™, SAT Readiness™, and estimated practice ranges — are directional practice estimates, not official or predicted exam scores.
Subscriptions renew monthly at the stated price and can be cancelled at any time. Accounts must not be shared across multiple students.
FERPA
When Scholar is used by a school, district, or program, we act as a school official with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA and handle education records solely on the institution's behalf and instructions.
Institutional records are returned or deleted at the end of the engagement upon request.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to student records is enforced at the database level with row-level security, so accounts can only reach their own data or data explicitly shared with them.
Report a suspected vulnerability to support@thescholarapp.com and we will respond promptly.
